This day of mourning brings yet another tragedy: our neighbors’ ongoing refusal to learn from the past. Until they do, we are destined to be on high alert all the time.

With the recent anniversary of the Six-Day War and the reunification of Jerusalem, I was reminded of the 1967 liberation of Hebron and the return of Jews to the city for the first time since 1929—when 67 Jews were massacred there.
