The Israel 365 Team is a vibrant and talented group of people with whom I am so lucky to work. Last week, I had the tremendous privilege of sitting down with my colleague and good friend, Inbal Rose, who is on the design team. Inbal is a young mother of four and recently created a stunning piece of Israeli art for Israel 365 – if you haven’t taken a look, you should definitely check it out. This authentic print blends pride, strength, and the rich history of Israel in a vibrant and timeless way. I’m so excited to share Inbal’s love for Israel and how it has shined through in her beautiful work.
Sara: Hi Inbal, thank you for chatting with me today! Can you tell us a bit about yourself and what inspired you to create this print?
Inbal: Hi Sara, Thank you for speaking with me about my art! I grew up in Netanya Israel. My neighborhood was surrounded by beautiful landscapes and rich history that have always been a source of inspiration for me. My love for Israel and my time in the Israeli Defense Force ultimately inspired this piece. I wanted to blend Israel’s pride and strength with its historical and future significance. This is such a sensitive time, especially with the current war against Hamas, and I felt it was important to create something that brings awareness to the significant role our soldiers play in defending the State of Israel.

Sara: That’s really amazing—especially since you had personal experience in the Israeli Army. Can you share a bit about your artistic process for this piece?
Inbal: Absolutely. Growing up, I used to visit Jerusalem with my family, and those trips left a lasting impression on me. The background of the art is a landscape of Jerusalem. Which, as we know, is the most holy and important place in Israel.
Psalms 137:5,6 even says:
If I forget you, O Yerushalayim, let my right hand wither;
im esh-ka-KHAYKH y’-ru-sha-LA-im tish-KAKH y’-mee-NEE
ה אִם־אֶשְׁכָּחֵךְ יְרוּשָׁלָ ִם תִּשְׁכַּח יְמִינִי׃
6 let my tongue stick to my palate if I cease to think of you, if I do not keep Yerushalayim in memory even at my happiest hour.
Can you imagine a better way to remember Jerusalem every day than with a piece of Jerusalem art in your home? The soldier is in the center of the painting because he is the focus of the art. That soldier is protecting Jerusalem, he is protecting Israel. And then of course, the background of my art includes lively colors, giving the piece a sense of life and vibrancy.
Sara: The print features the Prayer for the Israeli Defense Forces in English. What made you choose this specific prayer?
Inbal: This prayer is very meaningful and accessible to everyone. My children say it daily in school, and my husband and I say it during our prayers at our Synagogue. I wanted to emphasize the importance of bringing the soldiers into people’s daily routines and into their homes through art, which helps people feel connected and supported.

Sara: How has the current war against Hamas influenced your approach to art?
Inbal: The current situation has made me realize how important it is to bring pieces of Israel into our homes and hearts, especially images of the soldiers who bravely protect the Holy Land. We often feel disconnected from the conflicts around us, but we must remember that our daily lives are all thanks to the soldiers fighting for us. It’s crucial to bring them into our homes, especially through art.
Sara: How do you think this print can impact individuals who display it in their homes?
Inbal: Seeing the print daily can bring awareness and support for the soldiers into our subconscious. Additionally, it can show visitors who come to your homes that you proudly and spiritually stand with Israel. Art can convey values and beliefs without words; this print does just that. When I see it hanging in my own home, it gives me a sense of pride and connection to the brave soldiers.
Sara: Honestly, I’ve already bought one, so I’m definitely on board with this! It’s really special to remember what and who we are praying for. What role does art play in supporting and promoting solidarity with the people of Israel?
Inbal: Art is a powerful way to express values and beliefs. My mother always had paintings of Jerusalem in our home, and they always sparked conversations about our heritage and faith. I hope people will understand how important support for Israel and the IDF is when they see this piece. It’s a visual representation of our solidarity and commitment.

Sara: What are your future aspirations and themes you hope to explore in your art, particularly related to Israel?
Inbal: I want to continue creating art representing Jerusalem and the Holy Land. Personally, I have found it difficult to find affordable but quality modern Jewish art, so I aim to make beautiful, accessible pieces that anyone can purchase. I want to bring color and life into people’s homes while still depicting Jerusalem and Israel and these important values we stand for.
Sara: Wow, thank you, Inbal, for sharing your inspiration and insights. Your work is truly inspiring.
Inbal: Thank you, Sara! I appreciate the opportunity to share my passion and support for Israel through my art!
