Samaria resident finds listening device inside couch reportedly planted by intelligence agents

Last week, a resident of the Israeli town of Yitzhar discovered something disturbing in his furniture of all places.

Akiva Cohen discovered a bug reportedly planted in his couch by the Shabak (GSS). In a video that went viral in Israel, Cohen can be seen discovering the spyware inside a wooden panel inside of his couch.

After receiving a tip, Cohen checked the couch that he bought ten years ago from a store in Tel Aviv. Upon seeing a block of wood with no clear function for the couch, Cohen began taking it apart with a hammer only to discover an advanced listening device. According to the Jewish Voice, the Jewish unit of the Shabak is responsible for planting it.
