Basel al-Aderah, an Arab with the organization was revealed to be behind the blaze that was actually ignited by Palestinian Arabs, Channel 12 News reported.
According to first-hand accounts from the soldiers on the ground, a protest was being held by right-wing activists. It was then that Arabs tried to set fire to a structure while shouting at a photographer accompanying them that Jews and soldiers had set their homes on fire.
But al-Aderah didn’t count on an IDF officer who was at the scene and saw the arson attempt with his own eyes. Once he caught and confronted the perpetrator, al-Aderah tried to blame the fire on the soldier’s mother saying “your mother started the fire.” He then claimed that it was the soldier himself that started the fire.
