Sea of Galilee Rises by Nearly 5 Feet, More Prayers Needed

The Kinneret rose just over 4 inches over the weekend according to the Israel Water Authority. This latest rise means that the level of the Kinneret has risen 4.6 feet so far this winter and is expected to rise even more in the coming days as recent rains flow down from the Golan Heights.

Israel’s multi-year drought is ending in dramatic fashion as the heavy rains drench the north while Jerusalem braces for snow. Rain is expected to fall in all regions including the Negev.
