When thou goest forth to battle against thine enemies, and the LORD thy God delivereth them into thy hands (Deuteronomy 21:10) The ultra- orthodox Nahal Haredi Brigade continue to keep the streets of Israel safe by confiscating illegal guns and ammunition carried by Palestinian terrorists.

The ultra-orthodox Nahal Haredi Brigade continues their series of successful operations in Judea and Samaria. “Last Wednesday a force of the supporting company was travelling with front command, with the intent of disrupting and preventing terrorist activity in the region,” Nahal Haredi Capt. Shai Baruch told the IDF spokesman. “As part of disruption and prevention tactics we set up checkpoints in various locations to stop random vehicles and search for weapons which are sent in cars.”
Late at night, fighters on patrol saw a taxi approaching their location at excessive speed. Â They then signaled for the driver to stop and after checking the passengers and the vehicle, they opened the trunk, where they uncovered a shotgun with 50 rounds of ammunition. All of the passengers were taken in and interrogated by Israeli security forces.

“This type of event is not rare but also not common” explained Captain Baruch. The battalion commander stressed that the Nahal Haredi unit recently returned to the area after a two month period of training where they recorded many operational successes. “Every week we conduct offensive operations, arresting fugitives and conducting patrol operations with the goal of disrupting hostile activity.” Major Baruch also said that “the whole company and battalion experienced many operational successes. Operationally we are ready for any incident in the region, as well as specific events such as finding a shotgun, contribute to the sense of security of the soldiers themselves and a sense of the importance of our operations here.”
