And it came to pass, when she was in hard labor, that the mid-wife said unto her: ‘Fear not; for this also is a son for thee.’ And it came to pass, as her soul was in departing–for she died–that she called his name Ben-oni; but his father called him Benjamin. (Genesis 35:17-18)

In a small event at the Prime Ministers Residence, Benjamin Netanyahu celebrated his 64th birthday on Sunday, according to Arutz7. The PM’s actual birthday in on Monday.

The party was attended by Bibi’s wife Sarah, his son Yair a number of Knesset Members, ministers and PMO employees. A video of the event shows that the Beatles’ “When I’m 64” was played in the background at a certain point.

Defense Minister Moshe Yaalon (Likud) read a speech in which he congratulated Netanyahu and said that while some Israelis oppose him, “the collective picture of the nation trusts you and gives you its backing – supports you.”

Yaalon added that Netanyahu’s election as prime minister for the third time proves that the nation believes in his path. “I wish upon all of us that we will continue to enjoy your tremendous experience, and that you will continue to lead Israel with stable hands on the steering wheel, with responsibility and good sense, in the stormy sea that surrounds us, to a safe shore.

“Mazal tov,” Yaalon added.

MK Tzachi Hanegbi (Likud) told Netanyahu that he remembers their first meeting, 27 years ago. “You were 37… beyond matters of physiology, I must say that I do not see a change in the characteristics that impressed me then, in your room in the UN. The same feeling of a mission and a historical vision, with a leader’s energy of understanding that in the end, this nation will rise or fall depending on its ability to survive on its own. These are the messages you have been delivering for decades,” he said. “I am proud to be at your side, along with my friends.”
