I was thrilled that on this big week for the show – and for Israel – to be joined by Nobel Laureate Prof. Israel Aumann, winner of the 2005 Nobel Prize for Economics.

To mark Israel’s Memorial Day for Fallen Soldiers and Independence Day, we discussed Prof. Aumann’s perspective on the rationality of loss and sacrifice. Prof. Aumann’s son Shlomo was killed in June 1982, during his service in the First Lebanon War.
