Russia has consistently voted to condemn Israel at the United Nations including on 14 separate occasions in 2021. Now the Kremlin is about to see how it feels as Israel prepares to participate in a UN vote condemning the Kremlin’s invasion of Ukraine.
Jerusalem will co-sponsor and vote in favor of a resolution at the UN condemning Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, “together with a decisive majority of the world’s countries,” Israeli Foreign Minister Yair Lapid said on Monday during a press conference reports Arutz 7.
He said that Israel is “thoroughly reviewing” the possible impact of the international sanctions against Russia and how they might impact the Kremlin’s economy.

“We created an inter-ministry team that will review the effects and ramifications of the sanctions on the Israeli economy,” he said. Israel has yet to level any kind of sanctions against Russia.
Last week, Lapid accused Russia of “violating international order,” after Russia invaded Ukraine.
That statement was followed by Russia declaring that the Golan Heights is not part of Israel antagonistically referring to it’s capital as ‘Tel Aviv.’
