Go, my people, enter your chambers, And lock your doors behind you. Hide but a little moment, Until the indignation passes.

WARSAW - AUGUST 31: Airport interior on August 31

In the last month and a half, ten Israelis were arrested in Poland for violating quarantine upon arriving at Chopin International Airport in Warsaw. The positive test result was discovered before their flight reports MSN.

Poland is unique in the sense that passengers who test positive are taken to a separate holding facility and not to a quarantined hotel. According to regulations in Poland, violating lockdown is an arrestable offense until court proceedings take place. It also requires a fine of 30,000 zloty.  Quarantine in Pthe country is a 10-day duration.

Israel’s foreign ministry published a travel warning for Israelis who plan on visiting Poland: “Over the past several weeks, there were several incidents where Israelis have been arrested for violating lockdown upon arrival to the airport after they were found to have tested positive for covid before their flight.”
