North and South Korean soldiers exchanged fire along the border on Sunday reports 7 News. The South Korean military blamed North Korean soldiers for targeting their guard post in the DMZ.

The Joint Chiefs of Staff in South Korea said in a statement that their neighbors to the north fired several bullets at a South Korean guard post inside the densely fortified border. South Korea responded by firing two rounds after issuing a warning broadcast, it reported. No injuries were reported.

The The UN Command said that they will investigate whether or not an armistice violation took place following the provocation.

This event came just hours after it was reported that North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un was indeed alive and well following rumors of him being brain dead and even deceased.

U.S president Donald Trump said that he was “glad” to see that the North Korean tyrant was alive and kicking taking to Twitter saying: “I, for one, am glad to see he is back, and well!”

On Friday, China who is North Korea’s closest ally, boasted that they evicted U.S Naval warships from the South China Sea whom they called  “provocative”.
