Shortly before 10 am Sunday morning, Democratic Presidential candidate Hillary Clinton was whisked away by her security detail in the middle of a 9-11 memorial ceremony due to a “medical episode”. Her knees reportedly buckled and she lost a shoe as she was helped to a nearby security van.

“Secretary Clinton attended the September 11th Commemoration Ceremony for just an hour and thirty minutes this morning to pay her respects and greet some of the families of the fallen,” Clinton spokesperson Nick Merrill said in a statement. “During the ceremony, she felt overheated so departed to go to her daughter’s apartment, and is feeling much better.”
The episode comes in the midst of ongoing concerns being expressed in the media about the 68-year old candidate’s health and if it would affect her ability to serve as president.
