Two IDF soldiers were injured lightly Friday night in a drive-by shooting on Route 443 near Beit Horon. A Palestinian stopped at the army checkpoint and opened fire at the soldiers as they approached his vehicle. One soldier was shot in his legs while the other sustained injuries but was not shot. The soldiers, from the Military Police and the Homefront Command, were taken to Shaarei Tzedek Hospital in Jerusalem for treatment.

Security forces launched a manhunt but the assailant is still at large.
