Shamefully, the Obama Administration endorsed the Anti-Semitic European Union decision to label Jewish made goods from the Israeli settlements.

US State Department spokesperson Mark Toner said, “We do not believe that labeling the origin of products is equivalent to a boycott. And as you know, we do not consider settlements to be part of Israel. We do not view labeling the origin of products as being from the settlements as a boycott of Israel.”

Yet, if one believes in Jesus, then they must believe that the settlements belong to Israel. As Michael Oren, Israel’s former Ambassador to the US recently said in the Knesset, “Jesus, Mary, and John the Baptist would today be considered Jewish settlers in Bethlehem.”

The unfair bias against Israel shows a fundamental dis-belief in religious doctrine. As Prime Minister Netanyahu has said, “The connection between the Jewish people and the Land of Israel has lasted for more than 3,500 years. Judea and Samaria, the places where Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, David and Solomon, and Isaiah and Jeremiah lived are not alien to us. This is the land of our forefathers.”

Yoram Ettinger, a consultant at the Ariel Center for Policy Research: “Many world-renowned travelers, historians and archaeologists of earlier centuries refer to ‘Judea and Samaria,’ while the term ‘West Bank’ was coined only 60 years ago. Jordan gave the region this name when it occupied it after Israel’s War of Independence. No nation on earth other than Britain and Pakistan recognized Jordan’s claim to Judea and Samaria. … Even the Encyclopedia Britannica, as well as official British and Ottoman records until 1950, used the term Judea and Samaria, and not the West Bank.”

The Land of Israel belongs to the Jewish people.
