The legendary American rock and pop band the Beach Boys will be surfin’ into Israel in November for one performance at Tel Aviv’s Nokia Arena.
The performance, which is set to take place on November 29, was confirmed by famous Israeli producer Gad Oron. The band will play without one of its founders, Brian Wilson, but will have another founder, Mike Love.
Love will play alongside Bruch Johnston, Scott Totten, Tim Bonhomme, John Cowsill, Randell Kirsch and Jeff Foskett.
The concert will feature some of the bands greatest hits, with ticket prices starting at NIS 390 (approximately $109).
Founded in 1961, the Beach Boys revolutionized music with their California inspired lyrics on sea, surfing, women, cars and the beach. With catchy tunes and beautiful harmonies, the Beach Boys quickly grew in popularity.
Their first album, “Surfin’ Safari,” was released in 1962. What many call their greatest album, “Pet Sounds” was released in 1966 with 29 albums released since then. Over 350 million copies of their albums have been sold worldwide, making the Beach Boys one of the most famous American bands of all times.
In 1988, the band was inducted in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and in 2001, they received a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award.
The upcoming performance is a great win for the anti-BDS campaign.
