When it comes to instilling values in future generations, Hamas has got some serious explaining to do. In a widely popular children’s show similar to Sesame Street, the show, which is broadcasted on Al-Aqsa TV, the official Hamas run television channel, called for the mass killing of Jews.
In a clip of “The Pioneers of Tomorrow,” which was broadcasted on May 2 and uploaded by media watchdog MEMRI, a young Palestinian girl in a hijab is seen interviewing two small children. One of the children says that her future dream is to be a police officer like her uncle Ahmed.
When pressed further on the duties of policemen, the host tells the children that besides for catching criminals, she asks them, “they shoot Jews, right?” and tells the small child “you want to be like him.”
“I will shoot the Jews!” the little girl proudly states.
“All of them?” the host asks.
“Yes,” the little girls states.
“Good,” the host answers.
In a previous segment, a co-host of the show, dressed up like a bee, instructs children and encourages them to exact violence on Jews. Speaking with a Palestinian child in Jenin, the bee tells him that should Jews come into the camp, he should “punch them” and “turn their faces into tomatoes in order to liberate Palestine.”
The bee encourages the child to “beat them up” and to “pick up a stone, and when the Jews come, take it and throw it.”
The “Pioneers of Tomorrow” children’s show has come under repeated fire over the years for inciting violence, anti-Semitism and anti-Western themes in young children as young as three.
Many characters on the show have been portrayed to meet their deaths at the hands of the “Zionist enemy” while trying to liberate the Palestinians. The show makes sure to incorporate radical jihadist and militant Islamic beliefs into their lessons.
