While all countries celebrate their unique culture and history through their postage stamps, the Jewish State has a unique and Biblical message to share. Over the past 65 years, the Israel Philatelic Service has displayed not only Israeli politicians, symbols and events, but a number of inspiring stamps with a Biblical theme. Here are Israel’s top 8 stamps with verses from the Bible:
Israel’s stamps are unique in a way that each one has it’s own message to share. The stamps describe more than simply Israeli culture, but stand for Israel as memories of the past, as well as hope for a peaceful future. The stamp culture in Israel is of increasing interest to its Jewish citizens, who appreciate the beauty of the messages being portrayed. The stamps are all drawn by Israeli artists, and their originality through colors, designs and messages is used to reflect the complicated story of Israel’s past.
