Pop superstar Rihanna had already angered Israeli fans by taking the stage over an hour later and only plays a one hour set at her concert at Tel Aviv’s HaYarkon Park on Tuesday. Now more controversy continues to mount after reports that the diva changed the words to one of her songs in order to support “Palestine”.

According to BuzzFeed, Rihanna switched the lyrics to the song “Pour It Up” to include the word Palestine. It has also been alleged that she never once said the word “Israel” at any point in the concert.

According to Haaretz’s Amy Klein noted that she did not feel fans were upset, reporting that Rihanns “apologized for keeping the audience waiting – but her fans didn’t seem to mind. Nor did they care when in “Pour it Up” instead of “All I see is signs / All I see is dollar signs,” she subbed in “All I see is Palestine,” or the fact that she just kept inserting calls of “Tel Aviv!” in every song – never once saying the word Israel.

Claims that Rihanna was pushing an anti-Israel agenda has been refuted by a number of sourced however. BuzzFeed pointed out that every picture Rihanna posted to Instagram while on her trip to the Jewish State was tagged with a #Israel.

Additonally, Jerusalem Post reporter Lahav Harkov, who was at the concert, claims that the lyric swap never occurred.
