On Friday, IDF combat engineers discovered several Improvised Explosive Devices (IED) along the border fence with Gaza. Some of the devices were arranged to be exploded via timer connected with cellular phones. The devices were found near the location where an IED was thrown at IDF troops on Wednesday.

Security officials are investigating the situation however it is believed the devices were intended to be part of a large scale attack along the Gaza border.

A 20 year old Palestinian was killed in clashes with the IDF along the border fence. The young man was identified as a member of the Hamas’s military wing. Palestinian rioters threw two pipe bomb s at IDF troops near the Erez Crossing but no Israeli soldiers were injured.

Last Sunday night, a rocket was fired from Gaza and landed in an open field in Israel. The IAF launched two airstrikes against Hamas targets in response.
