In the wake of the ongoing challenges and heartbreak that Israel has faced since October 7th, one thing is certain: the strength and resilience of Israel’s people remain unshaken. Yet, in the midst of this ongoing turmoil, it is the children who are carrying the weight of this conflict most heavily. The innocence of youth, once a source of laughter and light, has been overshadowed by fear and loss.

Israel’s children still need joy.

While the world continues to change and healing begins, these kids deserve a chance to feel safe, to smile, and to experience the simple joy of being a child again. This is why we created Camp Kesher V’Kef, a summer camp grounded in two powerful values: Kesher – connection, and Kef – joy.

Scripture reminds us that “a joyful heart is good medicine” (Proverbs 17:22), and that is precisely what we are offering these girls: a chance for healing through joy.

In the summer of 2024, we founded Camp Kesher V’Kef to bring together Israeli girls from across the south and central regions of the country, many of whom have been deeply impacted by the trauma of war. These girls arrived as strangers to one another, carrying heavy hearts and unsure of what to expect. What we’ve witnessed since then has been nothing short of extraordinary.

Girls who arrived anxious and withdrawn left with newfound friendships, confidence, and a renewed sense of belonging. Through music, team-building activities, meaningful programming, and a warm, values-based environment, camp became much more than a fun experience.

It became restoration.

As scripture tells us: “He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.” (Psalm 147:3)

We believe this summer camp is a part of that healing; helping to bind up the brokenness of Israel’s daughters, not just through safety and support, but by giving them something deeply holy: a childhood returned.

Summer 2026 will be our third year of Camp Kesher V’Kef, and we are preparing to expand. We aim to serve up to 180 campers, reaching more communities and offering even more girls the gift of connection and hope. But to make this vision a reality, we need your help.
