NBA star Kyrie Irving seemed to have broken his silence, tweeting that he no longer is interested in illusions and only wants “the truth of God.”
No more illusions,
I only want the truth of God.— A11Even (@KyrieIrving) March 22, 2022
Irving is playing in his 11th NBA season. He currently plays point guard for the Brooklyn Nets.
His “Godly” tweets didn’t end there. Irving also wrote in a follow-up thread: “God…it’s an honor to serve you” and “No Fear. Use me, God.”
No Fear.
Use me, God.— A11Even (@KyrieIrving) March 14, 2022
Irving gained notoriety after being among the only NBA players to refuse the covid vaccine. Despite having a stellar season, his principled stand meant that he could not play any home games in New York and is ineligible to play in Canada. New York has recently adjusted their restrictions to allow him to play.
Irving — who turned 30 on Wednesday — played only twenty games all season. He dropped an impressive 43 points in the Net’s loss against Memphis even though he didn’t begin playing until Jan. 5, following a hamstringing injury.
Irving is the latest professional athlete to praise God publically. Last month, Israel365 News reported that Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Kuper Cupp spoke about a vision he received from God that inspired him to win the Superbowl.
