Alphabet’s Google Pay is now available in Israel and will enable Android users to buy products in stores using wireless payments throughout the Jewish State.

Reuters reports that both Israel’s banks and credit-card companies stated that they signed agreements with Google to provide the new service.

According to data from the Bank of Israel, roughly two-thirds of payment locations in the Jewish State support wireless payments.

The service is available for Israelis who own Android phones, which constitute some 30% of the Israeli population.

But for those who can’t afford an Android phone, buying basic necessities like groceries is a daily struggle.

That’s where organizations like Colel Chabad step in. Colel Chabad helps alleviate food insecurity for impoverished families throughout the Jewish State.

They provide the families affected the most with gift cards for local supermarkets. More importantly, Colel Chabad relies on donations from friends of Israel for their operation to continue. This important cause ensures that hungry families throughout the Jewish state enjoy warm meals during the cold winter.

Can you help an Israeli family survive this winter?

If you can, please consider donating to Colel Chabad today.
