As the Yom Kippur holiday was beginning on Wednesday, evening,  a Palestinian stabbed another Arab in Yaffo, wounding him moderately. The terrorist was arrested and in the ensuing police investigation, the assailant admitted that he had set out to stab a Jew but mistakenly identified the victim as a Jew. The victim was, in fact, a  49-year-old Christian Arab resident of Jerusalem. Police are searching for two additional suspects. According to a police source, the assailant had been residing illegally in Israel over the past few days and was intending to carry out an attack against a Jew on Yom Kippur.
