An Israeli security guard who was seriously wounded in a stabbing attack on Sunday afternoon near the Western Wall in Jerusalem’s Old City, has succumbed to his wounds.
The victim, Adiel Kolman, was a 32-year-old father of four and a resident of Kokhav HaShahar, a small Jewish community located north of Jerusalem in the Binyamin region. According to friends of his, Kolman worked in archaeological digs in the ancient City of David.
The terrorist was shot and killed by an Israeli policeman.

The terrorist was identified as 28-year-old Abd al-Rahman Bani Fadel, from the village of Aqraba, located near the city of Shechem (Nablus)in Samaria. The Israel Security Agency said that the terrorist was given an entrance permit to look for employment in the city.
Israeli Public Security Minister, Gilad Erdan had conveyed his best wishes for the victim to get a speedy recovery, unfortunately, to no avail.
“I pray for the health of the person injured in the terror attack in Jerusalem,” he tweeted shortly after the attack. “I praise the police officer who reacted swiftly and killed the terrorist and prevented further injuries.
“The Israel Police will continue to take action against despicable terrorists who are incited [to violence] by the Palestinian Authority in Jerusalem and throughout the country,” he added.
On Friday, two Israeli soldiers were killed and two others were injured when a Palestinian man rammed his car into them as they were standing outside a military observation post near the town of Mevo Dotan settlement in Samaria.
