Donald Trump meets with his Cabinet in the White House on March 13

The Trump Cabinet’s weekly Bible study meetings, composed of the most influential lawmakers in the country, may be the first such gathering in 100 years, Ralph Drollinger, founder of Capitol Ministries and leader of the study sessions, told Breaking Christian News (BCN), bringing the Bible back to the White House in a way not seen in a century.

“It’s the best Bible study that I’ve ever taught in my life. They are so teachable; they’re so noble; they’re so learned,” Drollinger said of the attendees.

The weekly Bible study meetings are regularly attended by high-ranking Cabinet members such as Education Secretary Betsy DeVos, Energy Secretary Rick Perry, Health and Human Services Secretary Tom Price,  Agriculture Secretary Sunny Perdue, and CIA Director Mike Pompeo, among others.

“These are godly individuals that God has risen to a position of prominence in our culture,” Drollinger told CBN.

Vice President Mike Pence reportedly joins the meetings whenever possible. Pence, Drollinger said, “has uncompromising Biblical tenacity and he has a loving tone about him that’s not just a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal…he brings real value to the head of the nation.”

He compared Pence to various Biblical figures such as Joseph, Mordecai and Daniel – all men who rose to political prominence in their times, serving as second-in-command to major leaders.

“Mike Pence has respect for the office. He dresses right—like it says Joseph cleaned himself up before he went to stand before the Pharaoh,” Drollinger said, referencing the Book of Genesis.

Thereupon Pharaoh sent for Yosef, and he was rushed from the dungeon. He had his hair cut and changed his clothes, and he appeared before Pharaoh. Genesis 41:14

Another big-timer who aztends the Bible study regularly is Attorney General Jeff Sessions, whom Drollinger praised for his quick absorption and practical application of Biblical lessons.

“[Sessions will] go out the same day I teach him something and I’ll see him do it on camera and I just think, ‘Wow, these guys are faithful, available and teachable and they’re at Bible study every week they’re in town,'” Drollinger said.

President Donald Trump is invited to attend the meetings and receives copies of Drollinger’s weekly teachings, BCN reported.

Drollinger, a former NBA player, founded Capitol Ministries in 1997 with the lofty aim of providing Bible studies and faith to political leaders. Since then, he has established Bible study sessions in 40 US state capitols and several foreign capitols. He also teaches weekly studies in both the U.S. House and Senate and leads prayer groups in the White House as well.
