Following the terror attack on Friday in which three Palestinian terrorists killed two Druze Israeli policemen, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu ordered the removal of the mourners’ tent set up in Umm al’Fahm. Hundreds of police were sent to the Arab village where the families of Ahmed Muhammad Jabarin (29), Muhammad Hamed Abed al-Latif Jabarin (19) and Muhammad Ahmed Mafdel Jabarin (19) were mourning. Police raided the homes of the families and ordered the residents to remain in their homes.

In the past, funerals for terrorists have turned violent and become rallying events for further violence.

The three exited the Temple Mount on Friday morning armed with sub machine rifles, one pistol, and a knife. They immediately opened fire, killing two Israeli policemen and injuring a third. The terrorists returned to the mosque on the Temple Mount where Israeli security forces engaged in a firefight, killing all three terrorists.

In the wake of the attack, the Temple Mount was closed.  Prime Minister Netanyahu announced the Temple Mount will be reopened on Sunday with significantly strengthened the security arrangements.
