In a spectacular show of global unity and support for Israel, the International Christian Embassy Jerusalem’s (ICEJ) annual parade this year was larger than ever.
Over 5,000 Christian pilgrims from over 80 nations, including some representatives from the most unlikely origins, fueled by an enthusiastic love for Israel and the Jewish Nation, marched in unity proclaiming their support. As a Swedish representative put it in simple words that describe a deep sentiment, “We all have one thing in common: God.”
A dazzling array of flags were displayed as sounds of the shofar and songs of ‘hallelujah’ filled the air. Everywhere, people wore smiles, glowing with heartfelt joy to be in Jerusalem. In one instance, an Iranian, who wanted to show his support for Israel, waved the Iranian flag, minus the Islamic symbol in the middle.
A French cowgirl and her Algerian friend assured Breaking Israel News that despite what politicians or newspapers would have us believe, they love Jews and Israel.
It was a moving experience for everyone who came close and opened their hearts. The ICEJ is an embassy in every sense, but it may be unique in that it crosses many boundaries. It chose to stay in Jerusalem when so many others fled to Tel Aviv.
At a time when Israel has few allies willing to stand with them against the rising tide of evil that threatens the world, so many fine people, hearts overflowing with love, walked the streets of the holy city, holding out their hands in friendship, asking to be counted alongside of Israel.
