Jill Dillard, daughter of Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar of “19 Kids and Counting” fame, and her husband Derick welcomed their first child on Monday evening.

A healthy boy weighing in at 9 lbs and 10 ounces, the proud parents took a lot of inspiration from the Bible in naming their son.

“We’re so excited to announced the birth of our son, Israel David Dillard,” Jill, 23, said in video posted on the couple’s blog.

“He’s just a handsome little fella,” she adds.

As if the name Israel is not a big enough clue as to the couple’s faith and their support of Israel and the Jewish nation, Derick is seen proudly wearing an IDF t-shirt as he sits by his wife and child’s side.

Grandparents Michelle and Jim Bob shared several photos on their Facebook page of their new grandson Israel.

In one comment, the happy grandma and grandpa wrote: “We are so thankful for a healthy Mom and baby! Love this sweet baby Israel! We are happy grandparents and we promise more pictures soon!”
