One of the world’s most popular blogs and Facebook page is called “Humans of New York” (HONY). Photographer Brandon Stanton walks around the streets of New York City, photographing and interviewing people. Usually, Brandon asks the people he photographs to share a small tidbit of their life, give a piece of advice, or tell them something exciting about themselves. HONY turned into a world sensation and with its millions of followers has captivated the world.

Other photographers have taken a cue from HONY’s success at portraying the raw, human side of civilization. In Israel, three photographers created their own “Humans of” pages on Facebook. “Humans of Jerusalem”, “Humans of Tel Aviv”, and “Humans of Safed” portray the lives of your everyday Israeli ranging from the ultra-orthodox to the ultra-secular. Here is a small look at the many faces of the humans of Israel.
