Arab MK Hanin Zoabi (Balad) is in the news once again for her inflammatory statements against Israel. In an interview on Saturday, Zoabi said that Israel’s operations in Judea and Samaria in search of three kidnapped teens by Palestinian terrorists amounts to terrorism.

In a provocative interview on Channel 2’s “Meet the Press,” Zoabi questioned whether the kidnappings of Eyal Yifrach, 19, Naftali Frankel, 16, and Gilad Shaar, 16, ever took place. She claimed that Israel was using the kidnappings as an excuse to kill Palestinians and were “ignoring the context of the occupation.”

“Three Israeli teenagers were kidnapped, but the two Palestinian kids who were killed [on Friday] were not even mentioned [in your broadcast]? The blood of Jews is more precious than the blood of Palestinians?” Zoabi questioned.

Referring to an incident in which a 14 and 22-year-old were killed by IDF soldiers, the military confirmed that soldiers opened fire after being attacked by stones and bombs, believing their lives were in danger. Zoabi completely ignored the fact that the Palestinian youth were actively attacking soldiers.

Zoabi reiterated her skepticism regarding the abductions. “I don’t agree with the abduction, but I don’t think the abductors are terrorists because I’m looking at the macro, at the context of the occupation,” she said.

The MK charged Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of wanting to “invade the West Bank” and “kill Palestinians.” She then turned her attention to Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas and accused him of “treason.”

“Our political criticism of the Palestinian Authority goes back a very long time,” she said. “Abu Mazen’s [Mahmoud Abbas] goal is to strengthen his regime. Abu Mazen’s security coordination with Israel is treason against the Palestinian people.”

BIN-OpEd-Experts-300x250(1)Zoabi refused to apologize for her previous statements in which she said the kidnappers of the three teens are not terrorists.

“My political views were not born yesterday. I support a righteous struggle, within the limits of international law, against the occupation.”

Israeli politician’s have slammed Zoabi, calling for her removal from government and prosecution.

“Not only are the kidnappers terrorists, but so is Hanin Zoabi,” Foreign Minister Avigdor Liberman stated on his Facebook page. “The sentence of the kidnappers and that of Zoabi, who is inciting and encouraging abductions, must be the same.”

“Hanin Zoabi continues her consistent practice: to support terrorists and prove that she does not deserve to be a citizen of the State of Israel, let alone an MK,” Housing Minister Uri Ariel posted on Facebook. “She is a reward for terror within the Knesset, a situation that would not be accepted in any other democratic state in the world.”

MK Moti Yogev (Jewish Home) said Zoabi should be “expelled to Gaza and stripped of her Knesset immunity.”
