And when the seventh month was come, and the children of Israel were in the cities, the people gathered themselves together as one man to Jerusalem. (Ezra 3:1)

On September 23rd, 2013 Israel365 presented over 10,000 signatures to US Representative Doug Lamborn, Co-chairman of the Congressional Israel Allies Caucus. The signatures, which represent grassroots support from voters in all 50 states for moving the US Embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, were gathered digitally over the last five weeks in advance of the Israel Allies Caucus gala event and mission to Israel this week.
Although Congress passed a bill in 1995 that called to initiate and fund the relocation of the Embassy to Jerusalem no later than May 31, 1999, successive US Presidents have utilized their presidential waiver to the delay the implementation of the law. Congressman Doug Lamborn, along with several co-sponsors submitted HB 2846, the ‘Recognition of Jerusalem as the Capital of the State of Israel Act’ to the 113th Congress as a strong and bipartisan show of support, and the issue is quickly picking up grass roots momentum as Congress resumes their session.
“There is no single issue that unites Christian Zionists as much as their steadfast support for Jerusalem as the eternal, undivided capital of the Jewish people,” said Rabbi Tuly Weisz, director of Israel365. “Through the power of social media, in just a few weeks, we were able to gather over 10,000 digital signatures in support of Jerusalem from Christian Zionists in all 50 states.”
Congressman Doug Lamborn who is co-sponsoring the bill, stated “We strongly believe that Jerusalem should be recognized as the capital of Israel with no waivers and no caveats.”
